The Model Design and Cut of Women’s Clothes, “Elisabeth Kreienbühl”
Edited and Translated by Sombat Hacoupian
This book is one of the books written in the field of fashion and clothing design because of its special ability to enable the reader to design and implement new fashion components and trends on clothes, as well as combining different parts on one type of clothing. It has been selected in order to diversify it. For these reasons, the contents of this book have been well received by readers in Europe, and the idea of collecting them in one collection also originates from here. This book is a new phenomenon because with the Swiss design and cut method, readers with less knowledge will be able to design attractive models. On the one hand, the book contains basic patterns in different cuts, and on the other hand, the preparation of those models is shown in small details, so the book is interesting and useful for those who are familiar with other methods. Along with the introduction of coat and overcoat models, there are explanations about different forms of collars, shoulders, sleeve preparation techniques, pleats and pockets. Another characteristic of the book is its professional fashion design and simple explanations, so the book can be recommended for teaching purposes.
Children’s Clothing Design according to “Müller’s Method” from RUNDSCHAU Institute, Germany Edited and translated by Sombat Hacoupian (the translation of the text has been done in collaboration with Mohammad Reza Ezati)
Edited and translated by Sombat Hacoupian (the translation of the text has been done in collaboration with Mohammad Reza Ezati)
This book, considered to be as the first children’s clothing design book according to Muller’s method, was printed for the first time in the country after obtaining the necessary permits from the Randshaw Institute in Germany, and it was translated to Persian by Hacoupian’s Cultural Department. This book in the first place introduces us to the measurement method and the right fit for children, and provides a table of sizes for boys and girls separately. Then it starts the design by designing the basic pattern of all kinds of newborn clothes, and continued to design the basic pattern and the model pattern of simpler clothes such as shirts and blouses. Gradually, the variety of models designed in one type of clothing increases and the design comes for different age groups, and for boys and girls separately. In this book, you can get familiar with the design of all kinds of occasional, traditional, casual, formal, and classic clothing as well as underwear and homewear for children to teenagers. On the other hand, due to the separate design of clothing parts in one model and the ability to combine with parts of other models, which is a special feature of Müller’s design system, a wide variety of models are available depending on the taste and initiative of the designer.
Size Chart for Women and Girls
Edited and translated by Sombat Hacoupian (the translation of the text has been done in collaboration with Mohammad Reza Ezati)
The subject being discussed in this book is the size chart, and all the sizes presented have been taken from people’s bodies. Therefore, freedoms that vary depending on taste and fashion should be taken into account in the design of patterns. Of course, the resizing values calculated in the table can be used unchanged by enlarging and reducing, which is called sizing. Because in this case, arbitrary freedoms have already been considered in the initial model.
In setting up these tables, the experts of Mueller Sewing School together with professors and leading designers decided that the naming of sizes and measurements in these tables should be logical, purposeful and as uniform as possible. Therefore, several size groups were created based on one height in a way that in one size group, only the width sizes change, not the length sizes.
